WARRIOR BROTHERS: COURAGE THROUGH FAITH

Warrior Brothers is an international Brotherhood of Catholic men dedicated to an in-depth and lifetime adventure of becoming leaders, defenders, lovers and mentors. We develop men to be authentic husbands, fathers, friends, workers, professionals and apostles.

In his Theology of the Body Pope John Paul II states that a true marriage between a husband and wife is based on an archetype. Archetypes are primal psychological structures in the collective unconscious of humanity that influence – not cause – men and women to think, feel, value and act in specific ways. An in-depth exploration of dreams, narratives, rituals, Scripture, mythology and neurobiology research reveals the existence of a basic, universal, real, mature masculinity formed around four primary male archetypes: the King (Leader), Warrior (Defender), Lover and Sage (Mentor). Christ draws on these natural aspects of His manhood and fulfills His identity and mission perfectly as Priest, Prophet and King. This is the ultimate spiritual identity of every man, but it is built upon the development of natural archetypes. All men can achieve a healthy, Christ-like (though not perfect) manhood; but, through personal sin and negative social formation, distorted forms of these archetypes easily develop.

BATTLING THE DISTORTIONS OF SIN

Warrior Brothers is a band of brothers — a Special Forces unit of the Catholic Church — fighting an offensive war against our own sin and societal evils. Pope John Paul II has given the world a specific principle “... the only way to understand persons is by Catholic anthropology, united with indisputable evidence in science, including that of psychiatry and psychology”. With this principle we therefore reject all conservative, liberal, progressive and pseudo-scientific ideologies in favor of objective truth and reality. The Warrior Brothers experience is focused on the harmonious development of unique, masculine, Catholic men in service to Christ, their families, the Church, and those most in need in society. This is accomplished through integration of Catholic spirituality and a scientific understanding of masculine development with a military approach to training, bonding, and combating our enemy. This dynamic integration of Catholicism, science and military methodology develops healthy, happy, holy masculine men.

FIVE DIMENSIONS OF MASCULINE DEVELOPMENT

As Christian men, we accomplish everything through daily prayer and the offering of our suffering as a sacrifice to God. This spirituality, plus education, physical training, mentorship, and apostolic missions are the five dimensions of masculine development under the Warrior Brothers program.
